Rihanna is Everything for Making My Early 2000s Fashion Dreams Come True

So, I wouldn’t call myself a psychic or anything but I was JUST talking about Manolo Timbs. This, of course, could mean that Rihanna and I are on the same wavelength.

Just wanted to put that out there.

You see, as I explained before, I was too young to stunt in a pair of Manolo Blahnik Timbs when they first hit the scene. Jennifer Lopez proved she was “Jenny From the Block” in them, Beyonce shimmied around in a fresh buttery pair while Jay z rapped about them, and honestly that was more than enough for me.

I knew that they were a symbol of a certain level of success paired with the deep knowledge of oneself and ones roots.

Timberlands have long been a staple in the Black community so to give them a feminine boost was monumental.

I’d like to think that Rihanna felt she missed out too. After all she’s only 2 years older than me, so she would’ve been in the same situation. Now, she’s flexing her icon status by doing what only she can and resurrecting the beloved shoe with the help of Manolo Blahnik.

They’re still a bit unattainable for me and I kind of hate skinny high heels but just to know that I could purchase them if I saw fit is truly a blessing.

There’s also a shoe in the collection called “The Dominique”, it’s a luxurious, pony hair, thigh high pair of boots that confirm that Rih Rih and I are definitely on the same page.
