Inspiration comes in many forms; love, art, music, etc., but it takes a true genius to be inspired by a line, like, a literal line and to then make an amazing collection out of it.
In this case there are 3 geniuses at hand, they’re all fashion veterans and it shows in their new brand, La Ligne. Debuted Tuesday, Valerie Boster, Meredith Melling and Moly Howard are taking stripes to a new level with clean, simple and stylish looks that will definitely stand the test of time. Boster and Melling were both Vogue editors before doing their own thing and Howard hails from Rag & Bone. In short, these ladies know what they’re talking about when it comes to style.
And what exactly are they talking about?
Everything we want to hear apparently. The ladies spoke to Vogue (obviously) about the venture saying, “You know those six pieces you have in your closet that are pretty much the only things you wear?” Boster says. “We want to be one of those six things——” Melling cuts her off: “We want to be all six!”
I think you’re on to something ladies.
They’ve tapped the coolest of cool girls, think Joan Smalls, Allison Williams, Leandra Medine, to rep the brand and we want in with “la bande”.
We’re starting off with this “Bardot” frock because it’s perfect and we’re pretty sure it’ll still look good 10 years from now.
